Free Italian Kisses and tips on the language of love at Coffee Republic

A high street coffee bar chain has come to the rescue for those in need of a few pointers in the language of love this Valentine’s Day.
Coffee Republic, which is unique among other leading high street cafes in selling only coffee that is genuinely roasted in Italy, is adopting that country’s passion for romance and giving away two free Bacio chocolates - Bacio is Italian for ‘kiss’ - with every two hot drinks sold from Febrauary 8th until the end of the month. Made in Umbria in central Italy, and famous around the world, each gourmet hazelnut filled Bacio chocolate comes wrapped in a love quote guaranteed to melt the hardest of hearts.
“Chocolate is a traditional gift of love and our Italian ‘kisses’ will come with messages of affection that will help even the most tongue tied suitors,” says Coffee Republic’s Tariq Affara.
Bacio love notes include quotations from famous writers and poets such as Byron, “There is no instinct like that of the heart”; Elliot, “I like not only to be loved, but to be told I am loved and even Mark Twain, “To get the full value of joy you must have someone to share it with”.
There are more light hearted observations such as “Never trust a woman who tells you her real age; a woman who tells you that would tell you anything” from Oscar Wilde and some well known proverbs like the Chinese one which states, “Love is like the moon; unless it grows it wanes.”
