Coffee Republic’s new Flat White promises big taste in a small cup

Coffee Republic has today launched its version of the Flat White espresso based coffee drink across its UK network of high street coffee bars after an extensive nationwide staff training programme. Made with a double shot espresso topped with creamy textured hot milk, the Flat White has long been popular in the Antipodes and has now caught the mood of coffee drinkers in the UK.
Coffee Republic’s own blend coffee is roasted by master craftsmen in Milan, creating the only authentic Italian Roast of all the major high street chains, and owner Tariq Affara believes the new Flat White packs the taste that his customers are looking for;
“This is a welcome addition to the range and one that has been in demand by our customers for some time. We have now developed a product that we are proud of, and one that will appeal to a broad range of coffee drinkers. Our coffee is prized for its rich and complex flavour, and the technique we use in preparing the Flat White allows the taste to come through the milk immediately making it a different experience from others on the market. The smaller size of the drink is also likely to be appealing to a good number of people. I don’t think it will take long to catch on.”
This is the latest in a series of initiatives by Coffee Republic which has made no secret of its expansion plans. The company recently announced that it is to refresh the brand with help of Conran and Partners, and new look bars currently on the drawing board have been designed specifically to become more appealing to women. Negotiations are presently underway on a number of potential new sites across the country and deals are expected to complete within the next few weeks on the first tranche of new locations.
Coffee Republic has also successfully embraced pioneering marketing techniques, securing an exclusive deal with VoucherCloud, the new mobile application that allows users to get discount vouchers straight to their mobile.
Until the end of March customers purchasing a Flat White will receive a free muffin, cake or pastry by downloading the Vouchercloud code and redeeming it at any Coffee Republic bar.
