Our Coffee

Coffee Republic maintains strong ethical trading links, including fair trade links through our coffee roaster and supplier. We believe that by supporting the communities that work hard to produce our prime ingredients, we can continue to improve our business in a sustainable way.

Our coffee roaster is a registered speciality coffee roaster and as such is independently audited to ensure they trade as fairly and ethically as possible. The coffee they produce for us is fully traceable from source and adheres to high standards to protect endangered plantations and growers. These activities are strictly monitored and reported.

Our roaster has contributed to various charity projects and agreements in India, Guatemala and El Salvador, by building houses, enhancing education and facilitating wage agreements. They are a global sponsor for Action Against Hunger; a charity that works in over 40 countries, specialising in the treatment of child malnutrition.

Each year Action Against Hunger helps more than five million people in some forty countries, saving the lives of malnourished children and assisting families toward self-sufficiency. Positive action projects have included distributing seeds to over seven thousand families in Cambodia and Malawi and digging and installing open wells for easy access to drinking water in over one hundred villages in Sri Lanka.
