UK Franchising
It's been three years now since Coffee Republic, one of the UK's original international style espresso bar chains opened its doors to franchisees. In that short space of time we have seen the number of outlets skyrocket from forty to in excess of two hundred by Christmas 2008.
If you are interested in becoming a franchisee and have a location in mind, we will help evaluate your chosen site to ensure it meets our success criteria. We can also help you find a site in your preferred location.
Once a site is confirmed we will help you to arrange the supply of equipment and shop fitting and put you in touch with one of our Project Managers who will oversee the entire development process, enabling you to create and tailor your own Coffee Republic.
In the case of new units, once the site is located we will, if needed, assist in the site acquisition procedures, advise on the financial plan for the business, help in the selection and recruitment of your team and assist you in training your key people.
During training, you spend time working 'hands on' in a Coffee Republic store and in the classroom with our Training Team.
You will learn about staying within the law, how to control costs, promote the business, make money, and keep the customers coming back for more. Most important of all you will be introduced to the BPM; the Business Process Manual. This book is at the heart of the franchise as it lays down how to run a Coffee Republic bar and contains all of the lessons we have learned over the years to become successful.
We will be there to prepare for your opening, washing the floor and making sure that the float is in the till. When the door is opened we will be there at your side, and go on supporting you, year in and year out.

The franchise system we have developed allows anyone with the right positive attitude to join us as a franchisee, regardless of his or her background. There are, however, four attributes that Coffee Republic people have in common:
• A desire to earn a good income
• An interest in food and drink
• A love of working with people
• A deep desire to be the boss
As you might expect, we take great care in franchisee selection, as the reputation you build affects our global reputation. You will have to make the financial investment and want to be the owner of a service orientated food business. You will be expected to train in every aspect of running the franchise business even if you wish to appoint a key manager to run the business.
If you can honestly say you aspire to the level of involvement we require, then Coffee Republic franchising is an opportunity not to be missed.
